The corner was taken by Rogelio Sadurni in the 7th minute. In the 15th match minute, 1947 FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bon Jović to maneuver through the defense. In the 16th minute Victoriano Sustrai shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Brian Johnson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 26th minute of the match CA Quake got a corner. 1947 FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Rogelio Sadurni ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Rogelio Sadurni got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Brian Johnson quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 27th minute, Ciro Henry hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 28 minutes of play, 1947 FC's Julian Pacho made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Silverio Cordearo was left in no man's land by his defense there! Brian Johnson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Victoriano Sustrai, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 34 minutes into the match, CA Quake's goalkeeper Silverio Cordearo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Julian Pacho. The audience was convinced that Victoriano Sustrai's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Brian Johnson was relentless in the 36th minute of the game. CA Quake's Silverio Cordearo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 38th minute of the match, managed to save CA Quake from getting a goal against them. Ciro Henry kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. The supporters of CA Quake booed when 1947 FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Xose Movilla didn't get a good kick on the ball. Brian Johnson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Victoriano Sustrai in the 48th minute of play. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Julian Pacho made the kick off in the second half. Xose Movilla's late challenge caught a CA Quake's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Xose Movilla helped the player get up and apologised. After 53 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for 1947 FC! In the 57th match minute, 1947 FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Szilveszter Puja to maneuver through the defense. CA Quake's Rogelio Sadurni got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 60th minute, Andres Ubelteso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Eloy Larra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Brian Johnson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Brian Johnson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andres Ubelteso in the 64th minute of play. CA Quake's Tomi Giusti was substituted for Eloy Larra. Eduardo Ledesma kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. In the 72nd minute, Andrzej Mlekodaj left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The 1947 FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. 75 minutes into the game, 1947 FC's Alejo Idacio nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Silverio Cordearo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-2. CA Quake's Cayetano Aznaro suffered a sore foot after 79 minutes and couldn't finish the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bon Jović during the 79th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 1947 FC made a substitution. Armando Fasoli replaced Teodoro Escobar. Bon Jović hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. Brian Johnson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Victoriano Sustrai in the 84th minute. With a little luck, 1947 FC's Brian Johnson got control of the ball when Victoriano Sustrai tried to sneak it across the goal line. Victoriano Sustrai fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Brian Johnson having to interfere. 88 minutes into the game, Armando Fasoli was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. 1947 FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave CA Quake the free kick. A collision led to 1947 FC getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Armando Fasoli hit a great ball. In the 93rd minute, Victoriano Sustrai got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, CA Quake's Fernando Reyes got a free kick in the 96th minute. 98 minutes into the match, Victoriano Sustrai notched a goal, 3-3, to the right of 1947 FC's Brian Johnson. Brian Johnson was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Despite being the better team, CA Quake failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
