A nice corner shot did that Ramon Gomez got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Carlos Eduardo Ramos quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. With a little luck, Club Deportivo Águila's Gustavo Guimarães got control of the ball when Rigoberto Lozano tried to sneak it across the goal line. Buenaventura FC were awarded a corner in the 11th minute after Club Deportivo Águila's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Jose Castro took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Rodolfo Dias got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Gustavo Guimarães quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 15th minute the ball was on its way in behind Buenaventura FC's goalkeeper Carlos Eduardo Ramos, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 17th minute, Herminio Florinio ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Carlos Eduardo Ramos was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. 22 minutes into the game, Rigoberto Lozano cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Gustavo Guimarães was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Carlos Eduardo Ramos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Herminio Florinio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 29 played minutes Buenaventura FC got a freekick which was hit by Bilgehan Ülgener. Herminio Florinio's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Carlos Eduardo Ramos read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 31st minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rigoberto Lozano got free with Gustavo Guimarães in the 37th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Herminio Florinio might have been able to make a better finish in the 38th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Carlos Eduardo Ramos. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Herminio Florinio ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Américo Oberto in the 40th minute of play forced Club Deportivo Águila's goalkeeper Gustavo Guimarães to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bilgehan Ülgener made in the 41st minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Christian Castillo however managed to control. Manuel Reyes kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. After 46 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Buenaventura FC! Club Deportivo Águila made a substitution. Abdurrezzak Talip replaced Vintilă Cârneci.

Carlos Eduardo Ramos made a fantastic save in the 69th minute, when Dário Diniz sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to Buenaventura FC getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Monchi Trejos hit a great ball. Club Deportivo Águila's Abdurrezzak Talip quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Bilgehan Ülgener, made in the 73rd minute of the game. Gustavo Guimarães made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Christian Castillo in the 75th minute of play. Gustavo Guimarães showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Christian Castillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute.
