In the 9thth minute of the game Klim Kostygin who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Uruguay's Xove Tijerina was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Erofey Kurashov in the 12th minute of play forced Uruguay's goalkeeper Xove Tijerina to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Uruguay's Xove Tijerina played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Klim Kostygin in the 15th minute of play. 17 minutes into the match, Kazakhstan's goal looked a bit too open when Estevam Moroño came free, but Innokentiy Blyakhin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Zemario Quer made a great header on Uruguay's corner, it was just that Kazakhstan's Innokentiy Blyakhin managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 30th minute, Estevam Moroño ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Innokentiy Blyakhin was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Estevam Moroño could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 33rd minute of the match, but Innokentiy Blyakhin made a huge save. A throw-in in the 35th minute of the game was made by May Demyanenko with Klim Kostygin as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Jaume Vasquez hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. Xove Tijerina came out of the goal in the 39th minute to try and stop a shot by Kazakhstan's Erofey Kurashov. But to his dismay, Erofey Kurashov quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Innokentiy Blyakhin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Estevam Moroño in the 44th minute of play. Innokentiy Blyakhin was a little too slow when Estevam Moroño got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 45th minute. The score was now 3-1. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Klim Kostygin stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Kazakhstan's Erofey Kurashov dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-2. 57 minutes into the match, Estevam Moroño notched a goal, 4-2, to the right of Kazakhstan's Innokentiy Blyakhin.
