Spectators: 7471 (Terracing: 5604, Seating: 1718, VIP seats: 149) Kapuła's Zbyszko Barna started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Iwo Mleczewski kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fabian Olchowy got free with Tanek Mockiewicz in the 7th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 10 played minutes Republika Grudziądz got a freekick which was hit by Wojciech Raflewski. Jedrzej Oborski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Witalis Winszman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 17 minutes, Zbyszko Barna managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kapuła's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zbyszko Barna was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 18th match minute, Republika Grudziądz was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Radomir Kowalski to maneuver through the defense. Zbyszko Barna fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jedrzej Oborski having to interfere. The supporters of Republika Grudziądz booed when Kapuła was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pawel Babicki didn't get a good kick on the ball. Wojciech Raflewski might have been able to make a better finish in the 28th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tanek Mockiewicz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Wojciech Raflewski ran back to his position shaking his head. After 28 minutes, Zula Fink made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. Kapuła's Tanek Mockiewicz tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After a rather tough play, Kapuła's Iwo Mleczewski got a free kick in the 36th minute. If Witalis Winszman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Witalis Winszman in the 41st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jedrzej Oborski saved Republika Grudziądz from getting behind. Jedrzej Oborski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zbyszko Barna, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. After having played for 45 minutes, Witalis Winszman managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kapuła's supporters crossed their fingers, but Witalis Winszman was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Wojciech Raflewski stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd match minute, Kapuła was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jurand Nigbor to maneuver through the defense. Zula Fink recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Zula Fink scored 2-0 in the 58th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tanek Mockiewicz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Wojciech Raflewski took the ball and in the 63 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tanek Mockiewicz. Tanek Mockiewicz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Jurand Nigbor managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kapuła's supporters rose to their feet, but Jurand Nigbor was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jedrzej Oborski breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Witalis Winszman could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 68th minute of the match, but Jedrzej Oborski made a huge save. 72 minutes into the match, Republika Grudziądz's goal looked a bit too open when Iwo Mleczewski came free, but Jedrzej Oborski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Zbyszko Barna fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jedrzej Oborski having to interfere. Jurand Nigbor's late challenge caught a Republika Grudziądz's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jurand Nigbor helped the player get up and apologised. After 76 played minutes Kapuła got a freekick which was hit by Jurand Nigbor. Emil Brzeszczak took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 80th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Tanek Mockiewicz. Kapuła's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. A collision led to Kapuła getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Wieslaw Brysz hit a great ball. When Witalis Winszman came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Kapuła fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Witalis Winszman couldn't finish the play. Kapuła's Witalis Winszman got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zbyszko Barna in the 90th minute of play forced Republika Grudziądz's goalkeeper Jedrzej Oborski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Zbyszko Barna struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Jedrzej Oborski didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kapuła. Kapuła's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Republika Grudziądz had won, even though Kapuła had held more of the ball.
