International Badge Championship

[b]International Badge Championship[/b] The Zone Chile is pleased to invite all users of ManagerZone to the First International Badge Championship. Is not important if you're a great designer, what you need is creativity and originality. As in any Championship, this tournament will have a group stage (two badges from each group moves through to the next stage) and a play-off phase, where the remaining badges are knocked out one by one until two reaches the big final! [b]January 20[/b] Closed the polls, we will update all voting results on January 20th. It is possible that from this day we make a final count of all groups of the next phase. This may take a couple of days, we will try to publish all information available in a Special Edition with future groups of the World phase. [b]January 30[/b] Beginning of the World Phase Finished the first round, we will classified the groups and will distribute in 32 groups of 6 participants. In this round. They will classified the two most votes in each group. There will also be seeded, but unlike the regional phase, voting obtaining in the First Qualifying Round determine its position in the group. January 20
Closed the polls, we will update all voting results on January 20th. It is possible that from this day we make a final count of all groups of the next phase. This may take a couple of days, we will try to publish all information available in a Special Edition with future groups of the World phase.

January 30
Beginning of the World Phase
Finished the first round, we will classified the groups and will distribute in 32 groups of 6 participants. In this round. They will classified the two most votes in each group. There will also be seeded, but unlike the regional phase, voting obtaining in the First Qualifying Round determine its position in the group.

How long will I have time for to sign up?
Deadline : Monday  15 (December)
Tournament Start: Sunday  21 (December)

Prize
1st place: 50 Power Tokens
2nd place: 20 Power Tokens
3rd place: 15 Power Tokens
4th place: 10 Power Tokens


Rules
1. Entry is open to users who submit original badges. Badges copied from PSgoddies or other web pages will be disqualified.
2. The badge must be the same as the one exhibited by your club, because the link used will be the same. The badge presented can only receive minor tweaks along the Championship. In case of changing the badge completely, the user will be disqualified.
3. If you lose the CM (and lose the badge), we will only wait until the next round starts.  If the user have the ManagerZone default badge, he will be disqualified. In this case, the opponent defeated in the previous round it will take the users' place.

Voting
1. The polls are open for voting 72 hours. The result will remain hidden .
2. Once the voting closed , the results will be visible to all in addition be announced at the Forum.

I am not sure I understand how the competition works. Although I signed up, my badge is not in the "Final Album" with all qualified badges. [u]Questions[/u]: How did we end up with the last 64 badges (28 + 28 + 8)? Where are all the rest? Did any voting take place? [MZ][;)]

Answers The 64 badges are the seedings or leader of group. In the first round we will have 64 groups. All groups will have 1 seedings and 2 badges with 2 stars (seconds seedings). In the next Zone will publish the clasification with the groups and polls for voting. The idea was make balanced groups. {For example, your badge have 2 stars, you will share group with other seedings, other 2 stars, and others 6 badges with 1 star. The rest are 2 stars and 1 star. Now we are working in to qualify the badges and grouping the badges in groups. The next Zone will publish this information. As we are working in this, I can't say a date, I hope before the voting. I don't know if I understand you. The voting will be the next January 9. As we explained in the Zone, the first round will be by region. The number of votes that you recieved will define the position in the World Round. the most voted (popular) will be the seedings. I'd just like to point out all of those that want to participate, the sign up deadline was last month, the 15th of December. I went through all the pages of the Zone in the link you provided (although I wasn't expecting it would be same issue to vote for 2nd phase), although each page took quite long time, and there is now a visual explanation about how to vote, I still failed. Went to Europe groups to vote. none of them has drop down menu to vote, went back to first page and cruised until the last one, again none of them has drop down menus to vote. I am simply unable to vote. I am about to give up after more than 30 minutes determination or next time I come back to see the thread or responses voting would end :) Again this is a terrific job you guys are doing, thumbs up, but unfortunately cant say the same thing about voting. Too much information, to many pages, same zone issue is being used, it is so easy to get lost. Somebody who doesn't have a patience or fast PC would give up after 5-10 minutes. Or maybe I am just too old to understand, lolgeoclphredux

Now we are voting the "pair" groups. All "pair" polls are open. I can't give you an answer, maybe is the internet speed... but I dont know.Ali, I made an example:

I could finally vote. Drop menus load after loading everything else in the page. Sometimes it takes too long time, sometimes never load, sometimes after a reasonable time, but when you dont know it would load, it is hard to find out.

It really has been hard work, but has not been perfect because there are many things to improve. I hope things will be different the next phase, we will try to correct errors in this edition.
