But to his dismay, Bekim Ribarski quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. The Scotland players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Macedonia were winning 0-2.

Macedonia's Petar Antič was substituted for Petar Stojanovič. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bekim Ribarski to make the kick off. After a rather tough play, Scotland's Frankie McGill got a free kick in the 59th minute. Macedonia made a substitution. Sande Spasovski replaced Bekim Ribarski. Frankie McGill kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. After taking down the ball on Macedonia's corner Tomislav Demači fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Bob McLeister quite easily take care of the ball. In the 76th minute Callum McLardy shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dragoljub Despotovski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 78th match minute, Scotland was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Craig McFergus to maneuver through the defense. Craig McFergus kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. Sande Spasovski could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 80th minute of the match, but Bob McLeister made a huge save. The crowd rose to their feet as Sande Spasovski kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Bob McLeister. That made the score 0-3 in the 81 minute of play.
