After a defensive mix-up in Germany's zone, Anatole Travis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gustav Hamann came out of the goal and Anatole Travis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Blaise Patry took the ball and in the 80 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gustav Hamann. Gustav Hamann dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. In the 83rd minute Roland Taghi Aghdiri shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Omer Norman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Canada getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Constant Rubio hit a great ball. Silvio Czerkus in the 90thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Omer Norman, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Niko Kobelt could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 91st minute of the match, but Omer Norman made a huge save. With a little luck, Canada's Omer Norman got control of the ball when Julius Niehammer tried to sneak it across the goal line. Germany's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
