Seating: 2384, VIP seats: 207) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Carlos Valdebenito kicked off to start the match. Adriana Rius received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Johnny Herrera came out and tried to block the shot, but Adriana Rius slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 3rd minute. 5 minutes into the game, Gualberto Urtubia was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. U21 Chile's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave U21 Argentina the free kick. A collision led to U21 Argentina getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Cecilio Lain hit a great ball. Johnny Herrera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adriana Rius, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 21st minute the ball was on its way in behind U21 Chile's goalkeeper Johnny Herrera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Keylor Navas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carlos Valdebenito in the 22nd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Domingo Diestre in the 32nd minute of play forced U21 Argentina's goalkeeper Keylor Navas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When U21 Chile's Carlos Valdebenito in the 33rd minute got a chance for a shot 33rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Cirilo Afonso to strike the kick off in the second half. If Carlos Valdebenito had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 52nd match minute, U21 Argentina was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Remigio Gau to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to U21 Chile getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Gualberto Urtubia hit a great ball. U21 Chile made a substitution. Elías Dibarrart replaced Cristiano Amaya. U21 Argentina made a substitution. Hector Sugar replaced Adriana Rius. U21 Chile's Álvaro Reinoso was substituted for Carlos Valdebenito. After 67 played minutes U21 Chile got a freekick which was hit by Gualberto Urtubia. Asier Cisternas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Keylor Navas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A nice corner shot did that Remigio Gau got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Johnny Herrera quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 83rd minute, Hector Sugar ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Johnny Herrera was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-3. Cirilo Afonso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Johnny Herrera having to interfere. In the 94th minute Álvaro Reinoso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Keylor Navas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hector Sugar in the 95th minute of play forced U21 Chile's goalkeeper Johnny Herrera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the final whistle sounded U21 Chile left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than U21 Argentina.
