Barra Gol showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ian Cosme in the 10th minute of the match. In the 12th minute Tarcisio Luz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ali Nejat Özertem saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 13th minute the ball was on its way in behind PEÇONHENTO FC MG's goalkeeper Barra Gol, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Barra Gol made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Deng Yin Sang in the 21st minute of play. Colombo A.C. were awarded a corner in the 23th minute after PEÇONHENTO FC MG's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Adrien Caillol took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Ian Cosme got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Barra Gol quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. PEÇONHENTO FC MG's Barra Gol proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to save PEÇONHENTO FC MG from getting a goal against them. Nelsinho Faria recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ali Nejat Özertem took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emanuel Vigil, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lauro Neiva during the 39th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Lauro Neiva kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. Ali Nejat Özertem showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emanuel Vigil, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. Barra Gol came out of the goal in the 43rd minute to try and stop a shot by Colombo A.C.'s Deng Yin Sang. But to his dismay, Deng Yin Sang quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Emanuel Vigil to strike the kick off in the second half. Barra Gol took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Deng Yin Sang, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Barra Gol made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ian Cosme in the 63rd minute of play. PEÇONHENTO FC MG made a substitution. Peter Paul Crouch replaced Emanuel Vigil. Colombo A.C. made a substitution. Edu Correia replaced Alan de Queiroz. Colombo A.C.'s attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Adrien Caillol in the 72nd minute. In the 76th minute the ball was on its way in behind PEÇONHENTO FC MG's goalkeeper Barra Gol, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 76 minutes into the match, Deng Yin Sang notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of PEÇONHENTO FC MG's Barra Gol. Barra Gol was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. PEÇONHENTO FC MG made a substitution. Fabiano Munhoz replaced Fernandinho Galvão. In the 80th minute of the match, Fabiano Munhoz tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Ali Nejat Özertem saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 82nd minute of the match PEÇONHENTO FC MG got a corner. Colombo A.C.'s goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Gabriel Delassus ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on PEÇONHENTO FC MG's corner Gabriel Delassus fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Ali Nejat Özertem quite easily take care of the ball. Colombo A.C.'s Ali Nejat Özertem played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Peter Paul Crouch in the 90th minute of play.

The Colombo A.C. players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
