Favila Lesaca's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Zunbeltz Soto read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 3rd minute of play. With a little luck, Garfield Dream Team's Irrintzi Matanza got control of the ball when Cipriano Vicente tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Carlomagno Ortiz got free with Irrintzi Matanza in the 9th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Zunbeltz Soto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maria Tesillo in the 15th minute of play. Ruperto Mendez might have been able to make a better finish in the 17th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Irrintzi Matanza. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ruperto Mendez ran back to his position shaking his head. 18 minutes into the match, ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO's goal looked a bit too open when Favila Lesaca came free, but Zunbeltz Soto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Favila Lesaca in the 18th minute of play forced ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO's goalkeeper Zunbeltz Soto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 22nd play minutes Cipriano Vicente shot 2-0, a short shot which went by Irrintzi Matanza and just under the crossbar into goal. In the 24th match minute, Garfield Dream Team was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Maria Tesillo to maneuver through the defense. Carlomagno Ortiz's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 26thth minute, Irrintzi Matanza skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 26 minutes into the game, Jaime Palomares was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Garfield Dream Team's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO the free kick. 28 minutes into the game, ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO's Ruperto Mendez nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Irrintzi Matanza made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. 31 minutes into the match, Cipriano Vicente dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Irrintzi Matanza, 4-0. 38 minutes into the game, Cipriano Vicente cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-0. Irrintzi Matanza was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Ruperto Mendez came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ruperto Mendez couldn't finish the play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Favila Lesaca was the one to do the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ruperto Mendez in the 53rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Irrintzi Matanza saved Garfield Dream Team from getting behind. In the 55th minute Cipriano Vicente shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Irrintzi Matanza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Emilio Oterino kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. Irrintzi Matanza showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cipriano Vicente, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. In the 58th minute, Ruperto Mendez left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-0. If Favila Lesaca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Ruperto Mendez came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ruperto Mendez couldn't finish the play. ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO's Zunbeltz Soto proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 66th minute of the match, managed to save ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO from getting a goal against them. After 68 minutes, Cipriano Vicente made it 7-0 with a short kick to the right side. Garfield Dream Team's Irrintzi Matanza tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 71st minute, Maria Tesillo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 75 minutes into the match, Garfield Dream Team's goal looked a bit too open when Cipriano Vicente came free, but Irrintzi Matanza reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Favila Lesaca recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience was convinced that Cipriano Vicente's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Irrintzi Matanza was relentless in the 81st minute of the game. In the 83rd minute Favila Lesaca shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zunbeltz Soto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 85th minute Cipriano Vicente shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Irrintzi Matanza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cipriano Vicente in the 87th minute of play forced Garfield Dream Team's goalkeeper Irrintzi Matanza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO's zone, Matxin Monsalve stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zunbeltz Soto came out of the goal and Matxin Monsalve tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the referee ended the match the ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
