A collision led to Thornhill City getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Boris Minović hit a great ball. Vidosav Joksimović made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vihar Glavinchev in the 11th minute of play. Siniša Ognjanović sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Sima Ignjatović struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Vitko Rangelov didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Thornhill City. When Helvijs Kazene fell near the penalty area in the 20th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored CARCASS's protests and gave Helvijs Kazene a yellow card for diving instead. Thornhill City's Slavoljub Palavestrić was substituted for Miroslav Kulić. After 21 played minutes CARCASS got a freekick which was hit by Helvijs Kazene. Radoman Karaičić could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Vitko Rangelov made a huge save. 26 minutes into the match, Thornhill City's Radoman Karaičić sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Vitko Rangelov narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Radoman Karaičić came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the Thornhill City fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Radoman Karaičić couldn't finish the play. Vidosav Joksimović made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gara Sim in the 32nd minute of play. CARCASS's Vitko Rangelov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Radoman Karaičić in the 34th minute of play. In the 35th minute Thornhill City were awarded a corner. Damjan Stevančević went to the cornerflag to take it. Sima Ignjatović made a great header on Thornhill City's corner, it was just that CARCASS's Vitko Rangelov managed to reach the ball for a save. After 37 minutes CARCASS's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Damjan Stevančević who took care of the corner kick. Vidosav Joksimović showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Herbert Thylow, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. Radoman Karaičić's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Vitko Rangelov read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 41st minute of play. A nice corner shot did that Damjan Stevančević got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Vitko Rangelov quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Vidosav Joksimović showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Herbert Thylow in the 44th minute of the match. Vitko Rangelov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Radoman Karaičić in the 45th minute of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Zhuo Le Kun was the one to do the kick off. Zhuo Le Kun's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Vitko Rangelov read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 56th minute of play. Thornhill City were awarded a corner in the 57th minute after CARCASS's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Zhuo Le Kun took the corner. 59 minutes into the match, CARCASS's goal looked a bit too open when Siniša Ognjanović came free, but Vitko Rangelov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vitko Rangelov took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zhuo Le Kun, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vitko Rangelov didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Zhuo Le Kun went, in the 67th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Momir Ćirić hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. Zhuo Le Kun blasted a shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Vitko Rangelov having to make a save. Vitko Rangelov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zhuo Le Kun in the 79th minute of play. After having played for 80 minutes, Zhuo Le Kun managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Thornhill City's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zhuo Le Kun was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 84th minute the ball was on its way in behind CARCASS's goalkeeper Vitko Rangelov, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a rather tough play, CARCASS's Grozdan Nonchev got a free kick in the 86th minute. Vitko Rangelov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zhuo Le Kun, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. In the 92nd minute, Zhuo Le Kun made a precise shot to the right of Vitko Rangelov. CARCASS's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. In the 95th minute, Sima Ignjatović hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Zhuo Le Kun's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Vitko Rangelov read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 97th minute of play. The Thornhill City players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
