Peter Stuyvesant FC's Francisco Quirino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anton Magnusson in the 6th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Björn Fogel in the 8th minute of play forced Peter Stuyvesant FC's goalkeeper Francisco Quirino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Björn Fogel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jörn Bergkvist showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Josué Taveira in the 15th minute of the match. 19 minutes into the match, Björn Fogel notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Peter Stuyvesant FC's Francisco Quirino. Francisco Quirino was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a defensive mix-up in Peter Stuyvesant FC's zone, Anton Magnusson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Francisco Quirino came out of the goal and Anton Magnusson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some careless play in the Peter Stuyvesant FC defense, Björn Fogel kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Francisco Quirino. The Peter Stuyvesant FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Francisco Quirino should have stopped the shot. A collision led to Gotham City getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Olle Dusett hit a great ball. The supporters of Gotham City booed when Peter Stuyvesant FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Josué Taveira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jörn Bergkvist made a fantastic save in the 35th minute, when Josué Taveira sent off a good shot on target. Björn Fogel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Peter Stuyvesant FC's Francisco Quirino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hannes Månsson in the 47th minute of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-3.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cristóvão Magalhães to make the kick off. Francisco Quirino was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Christopher Wester's late challenge caught a Peter Stuyvesant FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Christopher Wester helped the player get up and apologised. Christopher Wester hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. 95 minutes into the match, Gotham City's goal looked a bit too open when Josué Taveira came free, but Jörn Bergkvist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gotham City played a much better game than Peter Stuyvesant FC and deserved their victory. The Peter Stuyvesant FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
