Rodri Saron was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 5 minutes into the match. In the 5th minute, one of Valle Saron:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Valle Saron. Valle Saron:s Emiliano Saron showed great skill when he stopped Hulk Ulaş:s penalty. Tartalo Delatorre made a fantastic save in the 9th minute, when Pepito Saron sent off a good shot on target. 11 minutes into the match, Billie Hoes had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Emiliano Saron. Valle Saron's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Billie Hoes was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Tartalo Delatorre made a fantastic save in the 25th minute, when Niceto Arixo sent off a good shot on target. If Pepito Saron had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Emiliano Saron made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Billie Hoes in the 47th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Niceto Arixo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Emiliano Saron came out of the goal in the 59th minute to try and stop a shot by Atlético Grau Piura's Billie Hoes. But to his dismay, Billie Hoes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. In the 66th minute Niceto Arixo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tartalo Delatorre saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Yu Yu Chen's late challenge caught a Valle Saron's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Yu Yu Chen helped the player get up and apologised. Yu Yu Chen hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. Valle Saron made a substitution. Chumo Salces replaced Pepito Saron. The supporters of Valle Saron booed when Atlético Grau Piura was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Yu Yu Chen didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Chumo Salces in the 71st minute of play forced Atlético Grau Piura's goalkeeper Tartalo Delatorre to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 72nd match minute, Atlético Grau Piura was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Andoni Ascarza to maneuver through the defense. Niceto Arixo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Teofil Kornasiewicz made in the 80th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Niceto Arixo however managed to control. Tartalo Delatorre showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Chumo Salces, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Atlético Grau Piura's zone, Niceto Arixo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tartalo Delatorre came out of the goal and Niceto Arixo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 90 minutes into the match, Atlético Grau Piura's goal looked a bit too open when Chumo Salces came free, but Tartalo Delatorre reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tartalo Delatorre took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joshua Saron, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
