An unexpectedly hard shot by Epifanio Leceta in the 45th minute of play forced ARES FC DeusDeFutbol's goalkeeper Willian Cuesta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the ARES FC DeusDeFutbol defense, Eneas Bernia kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Willian Cuesta. The ARES FC DeusDeFutbol fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Willian Cuesta should have stopped the shot. After the first half ℄ΣᏩモ₦ፚ ℱ.Ȼ were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for ARES FC DeusDeFutbol. Willian Cuesta went to the wrong direction when Epifanio Leceta was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal.
