The tension between the BUITRES II and the Leaders FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Chase Palacios showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hayden Kitchen, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. 24 minutes into the match, Leaders FC's goalkeeper Silas Sanford had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Allen Salinas. Bola Toro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 28th minute of the match, but Silas Sanford made a huge save. In the 29th minute Sandy Currie shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Silas Sanford saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Silas Sanford took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dan Pike, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 33rd minute Peter Hufnagel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Chase Palacios saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Chase Palacios showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Roman De La Cruz in the 42nd minute of the match. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Allen Salinas made a kick off. If Peter Hufnagel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Allen Salinas in the 57th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Silas Sanford prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Peter Hufnagel took the ball and in the 61 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Chase Palacios. Chase Palacios dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Allen Salinas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 68 minutes into the game, Andy Dyer was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Leaders FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave BUITRES II the free kick. Andy Dyer kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Peter Hufnagel got free with Chase Palacios in the 97th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see BUITRES II lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
