United Lampa's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Adalberto Parada helped the player get up and apologised. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 43 played minutes CD La Serena got a freekick which was hit by Simón Planas. In the 45th minute, Emmanuel Caticura left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The D.C. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Eufemio Friz made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Efraín Winter in the 66th minute of play forced CD La Serena's goalkeeper Luis Javier Gálvez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Juan Jesus Adriazola during the 66th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 89th match minute, CD La Serena was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Simón Planas to maneuver through the defense. In the 92nd minute Efraín Winter shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luis Javier Gálvez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. CD La Serena's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
