Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Johnathan Rowett kicked off to start the match. Merlin Nef showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from José Javier Abufom in the 3rd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Shaolin Soccer FC's Moncho Fell got a free kick in the 10th minute. Tancredo Quera didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Johnathan Rowett went, in the 13th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by José Javier Abufom in the 18th minute of play forced C.D. Meseta Azul's goalkeeper Merlin Nef to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Merlin Nef made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Moncho Fell in the 19th minute of play. After 22 minutes, Niguel Abad mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Shaolin Soccer FC and the C.D. Meseta Azul players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of C.D. Meseta Azul booed when Shaolin Soccer FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Niguel Abad didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tancredo Quera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Filomeno Barcena in the 26th minute of play. After 27 played minutes C.D. Meseta Azul got a freekick which was hit by Juan Jelves. In the 36th minute Johnathan Rowett shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tancredo Quera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, C.D. Meseta Azul's Merlin Nef got control of the ball when Saturnín Alfaro tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 41st minute, Rolando Kovasic hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 45th minute, Juan Jelves hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in C.D. Meseta Azul's zone, Romeo Salvatierra stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Merlin Nef came out of the goal and Romeo Salvatierra tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. José Javier Abufom was the one to do the kick off. Merlin Nef took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Saturnín Alfaro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 57th minute, C.D. Meseta Azul's Johnathan Rowett dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-2. After some careless play in the C.D. Meseta Azul defense, José Javier Abufom kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Merlin Nef. The C.D. Meseta Azul fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Merlin Nef should have stopped the shot. C.D. Meseta Azul's Merlin Nef played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by José Javier Abufom in the 66th minute of play. The corner ended in Romeo Salvatierra almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but C.D. Meseta Azul's Merlin Nef did a great save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Saturnín Alfaro in the 68th minute of play forced C.D. Meseta Azul's goalkeeper Merlin Nef to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 73rd minute, Arnau Bahamonde ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Merlin Nef was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. After 77 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Shaolin Soccer FC! The goalkeeper, Tancredo Quera, was totally fooled by C.D. Meseta Azul's Filomeno Barcena, who 79 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. 82 minutes into the match, Shaolin Soccer FC's goalkeeper Tancredo Quera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Johnathan Rowett. In the 85th minute, Filomeno Barcena got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Shaolin Soccer FC's Romeo Salvatierra got a free kick in the 88th minute. Robert Callejas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tancredo Quera having to interfere. The C.D. Meseta Azul players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
