Saturnín Alfaro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. The supporters of Khalil Gibran booed when Shaolin Soccer FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. José Javier Abufom didn't get a good kick on the ball. 44 minutes into the match, Moncho Fell notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Khalil Gibran's Eladio Villarreal. Eladio Villarreal was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.

After a rather tough play, Khalil Gibran's Quintín Devoto got a free kick in the 52nd minute. In the 54th minute José Javier Abufom shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eladio Villarreal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tancredo Quera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from José Antonio Arriaza in the 56th minute of the match. In the 58th minute, Shaolin Soccer FC's José Javier Abufom dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-2. Tancredo Quera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ignacio Guillestegui in the 63rd minute of play. José Antonio Arriaza blasted a shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Tancredo Quera having to make a save. José Antonio Arriaza walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. After 70 minutes Shaolin Soccer FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was José Antonio Arriaza who took care of the corner kick. Khalil Gibran's Ignacio Guillestegui got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Salbatore Valenzuela recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Shaolin Soccer FC's Tancredo Quera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ignacio Guillestegui in the 85th minute of play. José Antonio Arriaza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Tancredo Quera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 94th match minute, Shaolin Soccer FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Moncho Fell to maneuver through the defense. Moncho Fell kicked well hit freekick during the 97th minute of the match.
