The tension between the San Gregorio FC and the CD La Serena players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, San Gregorio FC's Francisco Antonio Monreal got a free kick in the 3rd minute. After a defensive mix-up in San Gregorio FC's zone, Eufemio Friz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Markus Necochea came out of the goal and Eufemio Friz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 12 minutes, Joel Arteche managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. CD La Serena's supporters crossed their fingers, but Joel Arteche was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 14 minutes into the match, San Gregorio FC's goal looked a bit too open when Romeo Durney came free, but Markus Necochea reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Markus Necochea made a fantastic save in the 16th minute, when Eufemio Friz sent off a good shot on target. 20 minutes into the match, Joel Arteche had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Markus Necochea. San Gregorio FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Joel Arteche was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Markus Necochea didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 24th minute, which inside left pole to 3-0. Luis Javier Gálvez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Poulus Moreau in the 28th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Rafael Maria Carson managed to get in a good position for a shot. CD La Serena's supporters rose to their feet, but Rafael Maria Carson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Markus Necochea breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in San Gregorio FC's zone, Romeo Durney stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 39 minutes into the match, CD La Serena's goal looked a bit too open when Ernesto Daniel Rogers came free, but Luis Javier Gálvez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rafael Maria Carson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Markus Necochea tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 46 minutes into the match, San Gregorio FC's goalkeeper Markus Necochea had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rafael Maria Carson. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

The wind increased when Eufemio Friz made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute Juan Carlos Fariña shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luis Javier Gálvez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eufemio Friz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Eufemio Friz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Markus Necochea made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Romeo Durney in the 57th minute of play. In the 58th match minute, San Gregorio FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Francisco Antonio Monreal to maneuver through the defense. CD La Serena's Rafael Maria Carson got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Eufemio Friz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 62nd minute Eufemio Friz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Markus Necochea saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Markus Necochea stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Eufemio Friz's shot from short distance in the 65th minute. The attack was good, but when Eufemio Friz in the 67th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Eufemio Friz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Markus Necochea tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 74 minutes into the match, CD La Serena's Joel Arteche sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Markus Necochea narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 78thth minute of the game Eufemio Friz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but San Gregorio FC's Markus Necochea was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 79th minute, Joel Arteche ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Markus Necochea was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. Markus Necochea showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eufemio Friz in the 83rd minute of the match. Joel Arteche sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Markus Necochea showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adán Reveco, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. If Romeo Durney had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 89th minute, Eufemio Friz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 92 minutes, Jose Ramon Ayorecha mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the CD La Serena and the San Gregorio FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Luis Javier Gálvez acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 93rd minute, took the ball on the long shot from Ceandro Cordero. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 94th minute of the game. One of CD La Serena:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of San Gregorio FC:s goal. The referee gave San Gregorio FC a penalty, 96 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Ceandro Cordero, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of CD La Serena's Luis Javier Gálvez. 4-1. There was no doubt that CD La Serena were the better team. CD La Serena's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
