Johnathan Rowett received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Cyprian Panasewicz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Amador Cortés got his second yellow card in the match during the 26th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. The supporters of C.D. Meseta Azul booed when Club Deportes Iquique was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Amador Cortés didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alano Jubera got in the 30th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Merlin Nef handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. If Johnathan Rowett had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Filomeno Barcena sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alano Jubera received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Merlin Nef tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Alano Jubera was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st match minute, Club Deportes Iquique was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Silvio Bay to maneuver through the defense. The throw-in from Pol Orella in the 54th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by C.D. Meseta Azul's Johnathan Rowett. In the 55th minute Robert Callejas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cyprian Panasewicz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Club Deportes Iquique getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Ronaldo Couve hit a great ball. Cyprian Panasewicz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Filomeno Barcena, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. Filomeno Barcena kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. In the 65th minute, Johnathan Rowett got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 69 minutes Club Deportes Iquique's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Robert Callejas who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on C.D. Meseta Azul's corner Robert Callejas fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Cyprian Panasewicz quite easily take care of the ball. Merlin Nef made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alano Jubera in the 70th minute. Ronaldo Couve kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. C.D. Meseta Azul's Johnathan Rowett got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Merlin Nef made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alano Jubera in the 88th minute. In the 89th minute, Cornelio Döner hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
