Shaolin Soccer FC's Tancredo Quera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ernesto Daniel Rogers in the 16th minute of play. Markus Necochea showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from José Javier Abufom, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Saturnín Alfaro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Saturnín Alfaro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Markus Necochea having to interfere. In the 31st minute of the match Santiago Wood sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Tancredo Quera skillfully saved the ball. After having played for 36 minutes, Saturnín Alfaro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Shaolin Soccer FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Saturnín Alfaro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Saturnín Alfaro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. José Javier Abufom sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, San Gregorio FC's Markus Necochea got control of the ball when Saturnín Alfaro tried to sneak it across the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and José Javier Abufom made a kick off. The supporters of Shaolin Soccer FC booed when San Gregorio FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gustavo Nolibuat didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Moncho Fell during the 63rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 63rd match minute, Shaolin Soccer FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Moncho Fell to maneuver through the defense. Romeo Salvatierra's late challenge caught a San Gregorio FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Romeo Salvatierra helped the player get up and apologised. Romeo Salvatierra kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. After 74 minutes, Gustavo Nolibuat mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the San Gregorio FC and the Shaolin Soccer FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After recieving a nice pass, Shaolin Soccer FC's Romeo Salvatierra tried to score from far away in the 75th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Tancredo Quera didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Poulus Moreau went, in the 77th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Markus Necochea stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Saturnín Alfaro's shot from short distance in the 84th minute. José Javier Abufom received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Markus Necochea tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Markus Necochea made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from José Javier Abufom in the 88th minute of play. Saturnín Alfaro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Markus Necochea having to interfere. In the 92ndth minute of the game José Javier Abufom who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but San Gregorio FC's Markus Necochea was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball.
