In the 3rd minute Richard Campidelis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but João Adolfo Almeida saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Barradas FC booed when Nottingham Forrest F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Téo Sampaio didn't get a good kick on the ball. João Adolfo Almeida took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nicolas Sergipano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. João Adolfo Almeida showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nicolas Sergipano in the 8th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nicolas Sergipano in the 10th minute of play forced Barradas FC's goalkeeper João Adolfo Almeida to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nicolas Sergipano might have been able to make a better finish in the 11th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over João Adolfo Almeida. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Nicolas Sergipano ran back to his position shaking his head. Felix Crayon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alfredo Gamboa, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Nicolas Sergipano blasted a shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without João Adolfo Almeida having to make a save. João Adolfo Almeida showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nicolas Sergipano, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. João Adolfo Almeida came out of the goal in the 32nd minute to try and stop a shot by Nottingham Forrest F.C's Nicolas Sergipano. But to his dismay, Nicolas Sergipano quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Eliézer Urbano could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but Felix Crayon made a huge save. In the 40th minute Nottingham Forrest F.C were awarded a corner. Nicolas Sergipano went to the cornerflag to take it. With an all-out effort, Barradas FC's Felix Crayon threw himself towards the right post 42 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Álvaro Peña, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Nicolas Sergipano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. João Adolfo Almeida tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Nicolas Sergipano to make the kick off. Nicolas Sergipano might have been able to make a better finish in the 54th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over João Adolfo Almeida. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Nicolas Sergipano ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 58th minute, Chicão Melo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nicolas Sergipano could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 64th minute of the match, but João Adolfo Almeida made a huge save. If Nicolas Sergipano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Nicolas Sergipano's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but João Adolfo Almeida read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 65th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Nottingham Forrest F.C's Téo Sampaio got a free kick in the 66th minute. In the 67th minute, Téo Sampaio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 69 minutes into the match, Alfredo Gamboa notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Nottingham Forrest F.C's Felix Crayon. Felix Crayon was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 72nd match minute, Barradas FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Francisco Aparecido to maneuver through the defense. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Richard Campidelis during the 76th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Nicolas Sergipano could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 82nd minute of the match, but João Adolfo Almeida made a huge save. In the 85th minute, Eliézer Urbano got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 88th minute of the match Barradas FC got a corner. Nottingham Forrest F.C's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Chicão Melo ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Chicão Melo got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Felix Crayon quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save.
