Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Palo FC's Nereo Eguzki played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leon Isias in the 5th minute of play. After some careless play in the Curitas FC defense, Emilio Cambranes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Norberto Cruz. The Curitas FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Norberto Cruz should have stopped the shot. Norberto Cruz came out of the goal in the 12th minute to try and stop a shot by Palo FC's Jacobo Pueblo. But to his dismay, Jacobo Pueblo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. The supporters of Curitas FC booed when Palo FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jacobo Pueblo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ladislao Lano kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. In the 32nd minute, Everardo Mederi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Curitas FC's Ulises Burni got a free kick in the 34th minute. In the 36th match minute, Palo FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Melchor Javiar to maneuver through the defense. If Leon Isias had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Curitas FC's Ulises Burni got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

The wind increased when Jacobo Pueblo made the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the game, Curitas FC's Agustin Naldo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Nereo Eguzki made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. Nereo Eguzki took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leon Isias, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Curitas FC booed when Palo FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ladislao Lano didn't get a good kick on the ball. Melchor Javiar kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. After 71 played minutes, Curitas FC's Mateo Jaunzuria shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Nereo Eguzki came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Curitas FC reached it. Curitas FC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Jacobo Pueblo 75 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-3. After a defensive mix-up in Palo FC's zone, Agustin Naldo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nereo Eguzki came out of the goal and Agustin Naldo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 87 minutes into the match, Palo FC's goal looked a bit too open when Leon Isias came free, but Nereo Eguzki reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Benito Rioja charged in rather forcefully in the 89th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Benito Rioja the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Palo FC booed when Curitas FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Benito Rioja didn't get a good kick on the ball. Emilio Cambranes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nereo Eguzki made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leon Isias in the 92nd minute of play. 94 minutes into the match, Palo FC's goal looked a bit too open when Everardo Mederi came free, but Nereo Eguzki reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
