With a little luck, Deportivo Mbarete's Guido Pacifico got control of the ball when Inocencio Tauro tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to Hospital Italiano FC getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Luisito Christobal hit a great ball. Deportivo Mbarete's Guido Pacifico proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 38th minute of the match, managed to save Deportivo Mbarete from getting a goal against them. Diego Mendez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Niceto Matai in the 41st minute of play. In the 46th minute, Hilario Firman got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Inocencio Tauro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Hilario Firman came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Deportivo Mbarete fans jumped to their feet. The Hospital Italiano FC fans' excitement grew in the 84th match minute when Hospital Italiano FC's Inocencio Tauro looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. After 95 played minutes Niceto Matai rounded Hospital Italiano FC's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-3. When the final whistle sounded Deportivo Mbarete left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Hospital Italiano FC.
