Spectators: 10842 (Terracing: 8133, Seating: 2493, VIP seats: 216) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Ciarán Jones started the match with the kick off. 3 minutes into the match, Autocares Vázquez Olmedo's goal looked a bit too open when Tony Stone came free, but Ronnie Law reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Stiff Browne's late challenge caught a Autocares Vázquez Olmedo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Stiff Browne helped the player get up and apologised. After 4 played minutes Yapton got a freekick which was hit by Stiff Browne. The supporters of Yapton booed when Autocares Vázquez Olmedo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pierce Hurdle didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Paul Willetts during the 11th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 11th minute, Paul Willetts hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Max Ridsdale in the 13th minute of play forced Autocares Vázquez Olmedo's goalkeeper Ronnie Law to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ciarán Jones recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Stuart Farrell kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. After 19 played minutes Autocares Vázquez Olmedo got a freekick which was hit by Darius McRaild. A collision led to Autocares Vázquez Olmedo getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Harry Thompson hit a great ball. Ronnie Law came out of the goal in the 21st minute to try and stop a shot by Yapton's Tony Stone. But to his dismay, Tony Stone quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tony Stone in the 24th minute of play forced Autocares Vázquez Olmedo's goalkeeper Ronnie Law to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 27 minutes of play, Yapton's Miles Mabbutt made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ronnie Law was left in no man's land by his defense there! Pierce Hurdle received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Marcus King tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marcus King showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kiera Archer in the 32nd minute of the match. Pierce Hurdle who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 35thth minute tested the skills of Marcus King when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Paul Willetts kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. Mercher Linkletter was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 37 minutes into the match. After 37 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Autocares Vázquez Olmedo! The referee gave Yapton a penalty, 40 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Geoff McParland, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Autocares Vázquez Olmedo's Ronnie Law. 0-3. A collision led to Autocares Vázquez Olmedo getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Frances Gardiner hit a great ball. Ciarán Jones sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Autocares Vázquez Olmedo players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Yapton were winning 0-3.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Pierce Hurdle stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Kiera Archer's long shot made the audience stand up and applaude when it rumbled by Marcus King on his right side and into the goal. 55 minutes into the game it was 1-3. Autocares Vázquez Olmedo's Ronnie Law played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Geoff McParland in the 59th minute of play. After 63 minutes, Pierce Hurdle made it 2-3 with a short kick to the right side. Yapton's Marcus King tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Marcus King showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Darius McRaild, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. In the 70th minute of the match Autocares Vázquez Olmedo got a corner. Yapton's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Kiera Archer ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Autocares Vázquez Olmedo's Mbaka Mbabaotu to fire away a dangerous shot which Marcus King despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Pierce Hurdle in the 72nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marcus King saved Yapton from getting behind. After 73 minutes, Harry Thompson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Autocares Vázquez Olmedo and the Yapton players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 76th minute, Geoff McParland reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Ronnie Law. The goal made the score 2-4. 79 minutes into the game, Yapton's Ciarán Jones nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ronnie Law made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-5. Autocares Vázquez Olmedo's Ronnie Law played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Miles Mabbutt in the 88th minute of play. Max Ridsdale hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. In the 93rd match minute, Yapton was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stiff Browne to maneuver through the defense. Geoff McParland could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 97th minute of the match, but Ronnie Law made a huge save. When the match was over Yapton could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Autocares Vázquez Olmedo throughout the match.
