Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Vinicio Carballeira in the 2nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. In the 5th minute, Vinicio Carballeira left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Memphis Grizzlies fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. With a little luck, Intrusive Thoughts's Owen Hopker got control of the ball when Vinicio Carballeira tried to sneak it across the goal line. Vinicio Carballeira scored 3-0 in the 18th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Owen Hopker, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Vinicio Carballeira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Owen Hopker didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Vinicio Carballeira went, in the 25th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. 28 minutes into the match, Vinicio Carballeira had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Owen Hopker. Intrusive Thoughts's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Vinicio Carballeira was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. Owen Hopker took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vinicio Carballeira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Intrusive Thoughts's zone, Vinicio Carballeira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Owen Hopker came out of the goal and Vinicio Carballeira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Max Rider hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. Owen Hopker showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vinicio Carballeira, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. After 38 played minutes Intrusive Thoughts got a freekick which was hit by Max Rider. In the 39th minute, Memphis Grizzlies's Vinicio Carballeira ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Owen Hopker. Owen Hopker yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 6-0. 42 minutes into the game, Memphis Grizzlies's Vinicio Carballeira nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Owen Hopker made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 7-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 8-0 at half-time.

The referee ignored Intrusive Thoughts's protests and gave Steve Ryder a yellow card for diving instead. Ty Hislop received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Owen Hopker tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 73rd minute, Stuart Banks left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. Willie Adams kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. Owen Hopker showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ronny Theobold in the 87th minute of the match. 87 minutes into the match, Intrusive Thoughts's goal looked a bit too open when Ronny Theobold came free, but Owen Hopker reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 88 played minutes Intrusive Thoughts got a freekick which was hit by Jim Bannister. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Stuart Banks in the 95th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Owen Hopker saved Intrusive Thoughts from getting behind. Donald Fenwick made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Steve Ryder in the 96th minute of play. Memphis Grizzlies's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
