Pil SK's Rudolf Blomkvist managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Knut Lundgren in the 3 minute of the game. After some fancy dribbling in the 4th minute, Lars-Erik Lindsten managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pil SK's supporters rose to their feet, but Lars-Erik Lindsten was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Folke Bure breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Pil SK booed when North Pole Kickers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jan Wallman didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Pil SK fans' excitement grew in the 11th match minute when Pil SK's Lars-Erik Lindsten looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Hustaz Castrillo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Folke Bure tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 22nd match minute, North Pole Kickers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Knut Lundgren to maneuver through the defense. Folke Bure made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lars-Erik Lindsten in the 24th minute of play. Knut Lundgren kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lars-Erik Lindsten in the 26th minute of play forced North Pole Kickers's goalkeeper Folke Bure to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 27th match minute, North Pole Kickers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Knut Lundgren to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lars-Erik Lindsten in the 28th minute of play forced North Pole Kickers's goalkeeper Folke Bure to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Folke Bure showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lars-Erik Lindsten in the 34th minute of the match. In the 40th minute, Anders Byström hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 42nd minute Lars-Erik Lindsten shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Folke Bure saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lars-Erik Lindsten struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Folke Bure didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pil SK. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Villiam Tholsson to make the kick off. In the 55th minute, Lars-Erik Lindsten ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Folke Bure was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. The throw-in from Knut Lundgren in the 59th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Pil SK's Hustaz Castrillo. 61 minutes into the game, Lars-Erik Lindsten recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Folke Bure. Lars-Erik Lindsten showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-3. North Pole Kickers made a substitution. Peter Arvidsson replaced Henrik Back. Pil SK's Rudolf Blomkvist quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Knut Lundgren, made in the 66th minute of the game. Lars-Erik Lindsten scored 0-4 in the 67th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Folke Bure, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Lars-Erik Lindsten managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pil SK's supporters rose to their feet, but Lars-Erik Lindsten was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lars-Erik Lindsten showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-5. Torbjörn Rosendal could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 95th minute of the match, but Folke Bure made a huge save. When the final whistle sounded Pil SK left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than North Pole Kickers.
