Herman Benett was slow to take the kick. During this time Di Röe's players had a chance to rest. The goalkeeper smacked the ball away after a great corner, but Sten Melberg advanced and headed the ball into goal, 2-0 in the 10th minute. Mikael Vennerström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sten Melberg in the 13th minute of the match. 17 minutes had been played when some careless play by Överås BK's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Herman Benett was slow to take the kick. During this time Di Röe's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Herman Benett almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Överås BK's Mikael Vennerström did a great save. In the 18th minute, Mattias Kjellberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sten Melberg in the 24th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mikael Vennerström saved Överås BK from getting behind. In the 28th minute Douglas Fransson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but George Kristiansson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 29 minutes had been played when some careless play by Di Röe's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Bengt Hedbom was slow to take the kick. During this time Överås BK's players had a chance to rest. Sten Melberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mikael Vennerström having to interfere. Through an outstanding action, after 47 minutes, Mikael Vennerström successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tobias Kellberg was the one to do the kick off. Douglas Fransson hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. Di Röe's Sten Melberg got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Överås BK's Ludvig Alebeck got a free kick in the 56th minute. Mikael Vennerström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sten Melberg in the 57th minute of the match. After 61 played minutes Di Röe got a freekick which was hit by Jens Åkerman. Di Röe made a substitution. Elliot Kellbom replaced Odd Fastesson. In the 62nd match minute, Di Röe was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jens Åkerman to maneuver through the defense. Sten Melberg struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Mikael Vennerström didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Di Röe. In the 69th match minute, Överås BK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sven-Ove Hansson to maneuver through the defense. In the 70th minute, Sten Melberg got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Sven-Ove Hansson got a throw-in 72 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Henric Magnusson. Mikael Vennerström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sten Melberg in the 74th minute of play. Överås BK's Jan Jönsson got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 89th minute, Jens Åkerman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sven-Arne Olsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Mikael Vennerström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. There was no doubt that Di Röe were the better team. Di Röe's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
