Harald Lindell made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Johan Johansson in the 6th minute of play. Harald Lindell showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Baldomero Sugar, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. Pelle Lindmark hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. John Grubb kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. Harald Lindell made a fantastic save in the 12th minute, when Fazıl Hüsnü Toygun sent off a good shot on target. When Karl-Magnus Åkesson fell near the penalty area in the 14th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bajen's protests and gave Karl-Magnus Åkesson a yellow card for diving instead. With an all-out effort, Bajen's Harald Lindell threw himself towards the right post 22 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Sidney Porto, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Pil SK's Harald Lindell played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nicklas Trøjgaard in the 24th minute of play. When Pil SK's Lars-Erik Lindsten in the 26th minute got a chance for a shot 26th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Bajen's goalie prevented a goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nick Pope prevented the ball from getting in the gole. George Bergfelt made in the 39th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Pil SK's Dario Lucente. If Hustaz Castrillo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Baldomero Sugar to strike the kick off in the second half. Lars-Erik Lindsten blasted a shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Nick Pope having to make a save. 59 minutes into the game, Pil SK's Lars-Erik Lindsten nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Nick Pope made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. After having played for 63 minutes, Lars-Erik Lindsten managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pil SK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lars-Erik Lindsten was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Pil SK's Harald Lindell played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Baldomero Sugar in the 69th minute of play. A collision led to Bajen getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. George Bergfelt hit a great ball. In the 94th minute Rafael Bide shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Harald Lindell saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Harald Lindell showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Baldomero Sugar in the 96th minute of the match. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Pil SK walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
