Spectators: 8010 (Terracing: 6009, Seating: 1842, VIP seats: 159) Pil SK's Lars-Erik Lindsten started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Pil SK's Rudolf Blomkvist quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Sixten Hedbom, made in the 2nd minute of the game. 6 minutes into the match, Di Röe's goalkeeper George Kristiansson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lars-Erik Lindsten. 7 minutes into the match, Lars-Erik Lindsten dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of George Kristiansson, 1-0. 10 minutes into the game, Rudolf Blomkvist threw the ball into play from the sideline. Di Röe's Sixten Hedbom quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. After 10 played minutes Pil SK got a freekick which was hit by Hustaz Castrillo. In the 13th match minute, Di Röe was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jens Åkerman to maneuver through the defense. Lars-Erik Lindsten blasted a shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without George Kristiansson having to make a save. With a little luck, Di Röe's George Kristiansson got control of the ball when Lars-Erik Lindsten tried to sneak it across the goal line. Harald Lindell took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Urban Åkerberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Di Röe booed when Pil SK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rudolf Blomkvist didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sten Melberg in the 26th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Harald Lindell prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lars-Erik Lindsten in the 30th minute of play forced Di Röe's goalkeeper George Kristiansson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Di Röe's Jerry Norberg got a free kick in the 31st minute. After having played for 40 minutes, Sten Melberg managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Di Röe's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sten Melberg was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rudolf Blomkvist hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. Pil SK's Rudolf Blomkvist managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Sixten Hedbom in the 46 minute of the game. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sten Melberg stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the match, Sten Melberg notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Pil SK's Harald Lindell. Harald Lindell was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. George Kristiansson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lars-Erik Lindsten in the 58th minute of the match. 59 minutes into the match, Di Röe's goal looked a bit too open when Lars-Erik Lindsten came free, but George Kristiansson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The corner led Pil SK's Henry Lund to fire away a dangerous shot which George Kristiansson despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 67 minutes into the game, Sten Melberg cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Harald Lindell was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Di Röe's Sten Melberg in the 71st minute got a chance for a shot 71st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Pil SK's goalie prevented a goal. Di Röe were awarded a corner in the 79th minute after Pil SK's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Urban Åkerberg took the corner. The corner ended in Urban Åkerberg almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Pil SK's Harald Lindell did a great save. In the 85th minute, Dan Västberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Pil SK's Rudolf Blomkvist managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Sixten Hedbom in the 88 minute of the game. Harald Lindell showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sten Melberg in the 90th minute of the match. Rudolf Blomkvist hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. In the 96th minute, Sten Melberg got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The Di Röe players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
