Sven-Arne Olsson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mikael Sjögren read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 22nd minute of play. In the 26th minute Åke Lundström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but George Kristiansson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Di Röe's Herman Benett quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Rune Blom, made in the 28th minute of the game. Sten Melberg's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mikael Sjögren read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 29th minute of play. When Di Röe's Sten Melberg in the 32nd minute got a chance for a shot 32nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Henry Tolsson to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sten Melberg in the 56th minute of play forced Boomerang Bombers's goalkeeper Mikael Sjögren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sten Melberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Mikael Sjögren tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Boomerang Bombers defense, Sten Melberg kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mikael Sjögren. The Boomerang Bombers fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mikael Sjögren should have stopped the shot. Sten Melberg received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Mikael Sjögren came out and tried to block the shot, but Sten Melberg slotted it home off the left post making it 0-3 in the 69th minute. 74 minutes had been played when some careless play by Boomerang Bombers's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Herman Benett was slow to take the kick. During this time Di Röe's players had a chance to rest. Mikael Sjögren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sten Melberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. In the 79th minute, Herman Benett hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Michael Nyberg's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but George Kristiansson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 81st minute of play. After 86 minutes, Sten Melberg mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Di Röe and the Boomerang Bombers players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 86th minute, Sten Melberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Boomerang Bombers booed when Di Röe was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vilhelm Helström didn't get a good kick on the ball.
