The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Folke Bure showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sten Melberg in the 8th minute of the match. After 10 minutes North Pole Kickers's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Mattias Kjellberg who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Mattias Kjellberg almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but North Pole Kickers's Folke Bure did a great save. Folke Bure made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sten Melberg in the 13th minute of play. Sten Melberg scored 0-2 in the 17th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Folke Bure, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. North Pole Kickers's Folke Bure played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Odd Fastesson in the 23rd minute of play. Folke Bure stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sten Melberg's shot from short distance in the 28th minute. After a rather tough play, Di Röe's Malte Hedström got a free kick in the 32nd minute. North Pole Kickers's Leonardo Forsberg quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Malte Hedström, made in the 36th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sten Melberg in the 37th minute of play forced North Pole Kickers's goalkeeper Folke Bure to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Timmy Lindblom charged in rather forcefully in the 39th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Timmy Lindblom the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 39th minute, Timmy Lindblom hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the North Pole Kickers defense, Sten Melberg kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Folke Bure. The North Pole Kickers fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Folke Bure should have stopped the shot. After a defensive mix-up in North Pole Kickers's zone, Sten Melberg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Folke Bure came out of the goal and Sten Melberg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 46th minute, Sten Melberg left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Di Röe fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. The North Pole Kickers players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Di Röe were winning 0-4.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Herman Benett in the 59th minute of play forced North Pole Kickers's goalkeeper Folke Bure to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 62nd minute, Sten Melberg left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Di Röe fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-5. Malte Hedström kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. North Pole Kickers's Knut Lundgren was substituted for Henrik Back. After a rather tough play, Di Röe's Malte Hedström got a free kick in the 66th minute. North Pole Kickers's Folke Bure proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 70th minute of the match, managed to save North Pole Kickers from getting a goal against them. In the 72nd minute the ball was on its way in behind North Pole Kickers's goalkeeper Folke Bure, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 73 minutes North Pole Kickers's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Mattias Kjellberg who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Di Röe's Sven-Arne Olsson to a score. 0-6 in the 74th minute. After having played for 79 minutes, Sten Melberg managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Di Röe's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sten Melberg was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, North Pole Kickers's Jan Wallman got a free kick in the 81st minute. Mattias Kjellberg charged in rather forcefully in the 87th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mattias Kjellberg the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 87th minute, Mattias Kjellberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Herman Benett came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Di Röe fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Herman Benett couldn't finish the play. 91 minutes into the game, one of North Pole Kickers:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. When the final whistle sounded Di Röe left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than North Pole Kickers.
