Spectators: 7965 (Terracing: 5975, Seating: 1832, VIP seats: 158) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Ludomil Barys started the match with the kick off. Ulf Uter showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leon Vliet, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. Ulf Uter came out of the goal in the 6th minute to try and stop a shot by Hogeweg FC's Leon Vliet. But to his dismay, Leon Vliet quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. 9 minutes into the game, Jef Batum cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Ulf Uter was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 12th minute Pierre Pik shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ulf Uter saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Ludomil Barys had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ulf Uter made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leon Vliet in the 14th minute of play. Ulf Uter took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jef Batum, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 17th minute Leon Vliet shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ulf Uter saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ulf Uter made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ed Schmidt in the 18th minute of play. In the 19th match minute, Soerendonk HC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hub Boeringe to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tommie Reinders in the 21st minute of play forced Soerendonk HC's goalkeeper Ulf Uter to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 23 minutes into the match, Soerendonk HC's goal looked a bit too open when Leon Vliet came free, but Ulf Uter reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Soerendonk HC's Ulf Uter played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ed Schmidt in the 24th minute of play. Ulf Uter showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jef Batum in the 25th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jef Batum in the 26th minute of play forced Soerendonk HC's goalkeeper Ulf Uter to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ulf Uter made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leon Vliet in the 28th minute of play. Hub Boeringe charged in rather forcefully in the 31st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Hub Boeringe the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Hub Boeringe kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-4.

The wind increased when Ed Schmidt made the kick off in the second half. After 53rd play minutes Ed Schmidt shot 0-5, a short shot which went by Ulf Uter and just under the crossbar into goal. Pierre Pik received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ulf Uter came out and tried to block the shot, but Pierre Pik slotted it home off the left post making it 0-6 in the 58th minute. Ulf Uter made an important save on a dangerous shot by Leon Vliet in the 61st minute. In the 62nd minute Ed Schmidt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ulf Uter saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 63rd minute, Fred Aerssen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ulf Uter took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ed Schmidt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Soerendonk HC's Ulf Uter proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 70th minute of the match, managed to save Soerendonk HC from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Hogeweg FC's Pierre Pik got a free kick in the 72nd minute. Leon Vliet took the ball and in the 74 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ulf Uter. Ulf Uter dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-7. In the 78th minute, Hans Huizinga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pierre Pik in the 80th minute of play forced Soerendonk HC's goalkeeper Ulf Uter to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Soerendonk HC's Ulf Uter played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kees Weken in the 85th minute of play. Ulf Uter was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 96 played minutes Hogeweg FC got a freekick which was hit by Ed Schmidt. When the match was over Hogeweg FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Soerendonk HC throughout the match.
