Bill Schiphouwer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from John Zeijlemaker, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. But to his dismay, John Zeijlemaker quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers John Zeijlemaker in the 10th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bill Schiphouwer saved Gramsbergen FC from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Gramsbergen FC's Huib Blank got a free kick in the 11th minute. Gramsbergen FC's Bill Schiphouwer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by John Zeijlemaker in the 14th minute of play. The supporters of Loveren booed when Gramsbergen FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kelvin Oortwijn didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 16th minute, John Zeijlemaker left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Loveren fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Hugo van Halst made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bastiaan Heijen in the 20th minute of play. 21 minutes into the game, Loveren's Robin Oss nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Bill Schiphouwer made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. Bill Schiphouwer didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from John Zeijlemaker went, in the 27th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. The throw-in from Nico Thole in the 32nd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Gramsbergen FC's Bastiaan Heijen. In the 37th minute, Joris Nedergaard left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Loveren fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-5. An unexpectedly hard shot by John Zeijlemaker in the 44th minute of play forced Gramsbergen FC's goalkeeper Bill Schiphouwer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 45 minutes into the game, Nico-Jan Heulmann was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Gramsbergen FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Loveren the free kick. The supporters of Loveren booed when Gramsbergen FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nico-Jan Heulmann didn't get a good kick on the ball. Robin Oss took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 46th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Bill Schiphouwer. Gramsbergen FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Bill Schiphouwer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Felix Thomasse in the 47th minute of play. After the first half Loveren were leading 0-5. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Taco de Cock made a kick off. Bill Schiphouwer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from John Zeijlemaker, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 59 minutes into the game Joris Nedergaard kicked a great long shot which passed Bill Schiphouwer straight ahead into the goal, Result 0-6. One couldn't see Joris Nedergaard behind all of his teammates who surrounded to congratulate him. Robin Oss received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Bill Schiphouwer came out and tried to block the shot, but Robin Oss slotted it home off the left post making it 0-7 in the 64th minute. Bill Schiphouwer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from John Zeijlemaker in the 68th minute of the match. A collision led to Gramsbergen FC getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Huib Blank hit a great ball. Gramsbergen FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 75th minute, when John Zeijlemaker scored to the left of an out of position Bill Schiphouwer, making the score, 0-8. Joep van Zalen could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 80th minute of the match, but Bill Schiphouwer made a huge save. With an all-out effort, Loveren's Bill Schiphouwer threw himself towards the right post 81 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Robin Oss, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bastiaan Heijen during the 84th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 84th match minute, Gramsbergen FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bastiaan Heijen to maneuver through the defense. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 89th minute of the game. One of Gramsbergen FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Loveren:s goal. The Loveren supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Loveren would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
