The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by John Zeijlemaker in the 4th minute of play forced Pesse's goalkeeper Iwan Lanting to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Iwan Lanting took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Felix Thomasse, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 28th minute, one of Pesse:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Pesse. In the 29th minute there was a penalty for Loveren. John Zeijlemaker stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Iwan Lanting. 0-3. When the match clock showed 37 minutes, the score became 0-5 when John Zeijlemaker sped through Pesse's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Iwan Lanting. After 41 minutes of play, Loveren's Robin Oss made it 0-6 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Iwan Lanting was left in no man's land by his defense there! With a couple of smart ball manuevers John Zeijlemaker in the 48th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Iwan Lanting saved Pesse from getting behind. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-6 lead.

John Zeijlemaker fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Iwan Lanting having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Felix Thomasse got free with Iwan Lanting in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The audience was convinced that John Zeijlemaker's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Iwan Lanting was relentless in the 54th minute of the game. John Zeijlemaker could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 57th minute of the match, but Iwan Lanting made a huge save. Iwan Lanting was out of position in the 57 minute of play, and John Zeijlemaker capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. When the match had gone on for 76 minutes, John Zeijlemaker took a quick shot and it went in 0-9 without a chance for Iwan Lanting to make any attempt to save it. John Zeijlemaker's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 78thth minute, Iwan Lanting skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 89thth minute of the game John Zeijlemaker who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Pesse's Iwan Lanting was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 92 minutes into the game, John Zeijlemaker recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Iwan Lanting. John Zeijlemaker showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-10. Iwan Lanting showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from John Zeijlemaker, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. When the match was over Loveren could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Pesse throughout the match.
