Ulf Uter showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Patrick Famelen, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Humberto Andriessen in the 18th minute of play forced Soerendonk HC's goalkeeper Ulf Uter to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ulf Uter didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Humberto Andriessen went, in the 21st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Ulf Uter took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Patrick Famelen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Humberto Andriessen in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ulf Uter saved Soerendonk HC from getting behind. When Billy Bosz fell near the penalty area in the 27th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Soerendonk HC's protests and gave Billy Bosz a yellow card for diving instead. In the 36th minute of the match Coenraad Schreuder shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ulf Uter showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. When Hans Huizinga fell near the penalty area in the 37th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Soerendonk HC's protests and gave Hans Huizinga a yellow card for diving instead. Hans Huizinga hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. 41 minutes into the game, Soerendonk HC's Fred Aerssen nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Evert Smibum made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. If Hub Boeringe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ludomil Barys stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Soerendonk HC's Fred Aerssen sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Evert Smibum narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 53 minutes into the game, Gert van Damme was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Fluitende Ventieltjes FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Soerendonk HC the free kick. After a rather tough play, Fluitende Ventieltjes FC's Gert van Damme got a free kick in the 54th minute. Ton Wermans sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 59 minutes into the match, Ludomil Barys had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Evert Smibum. Fluitende Ventieltjes FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ludomil Barys was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. After 62 played minutes Soerendonk HC got a freekick which was hit by Johannes Nibbelke. Ulf Uter showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gert van Damme, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. A hard shot 78 in the game by Humberto Andriessen from a close distance when the talented Ulf Uter managed to make a qualified save. Soerendonk HC's players were relieved. Soerendonk HC's Ulf Uter proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 81st minute of the match, managed to save Soerendonk HC from getting a goal against them. When the match had gone on for 84 minutes, Ludomil Barys put it in 3-3 from a short distance just to the right of Evert Smibum. In the 88th minute of the match, Franck Zuid got a very nice opportunity to score, but Ulf Uter was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Ulf Uter made an important save on a dangerous shot by Humberto Andriessen in the 91st minute. Soerendonk HC's Ulf Uter proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 96th minute of the match, managed to save Soerendonk HC from getting a goal against them. Fluitende Ventieltjes FC were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
