Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Ed Schmidt got the match started through his kick off. 10 minutes into the match, Maurice Wikenburg dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Lukas Sundén, 1-0. Hogeweg FC's Ed Schmidt got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Leon Vliet came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the Hogeweg FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Leon Vliet couldn't finish the play. After 20 played minutes New Gooxtonian Boys got a freekick which was hit by Sipke van Zeist. New Gooxtonian Boys's Hans Fokkelman got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 28th minute Maurice Wikenburg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lukas Sundén saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Coenraad Wilmink showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leon Vliet in the 29th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, New Gooxtonian Boys's Sipke van Zeist got a free kick in the 34th minute. In the 38th minute, Ed Schmidt got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jef Batum sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Maurice Wikenburg to strike the kick off in the second half. After 52 played minutes New Gooxtonian Boys got a freekick which was hit by Auke van Amersfoort. With a little luck, New Gooxtonian Boys's Coenraad Wilmink got control of the ball when Leon Vliet tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 54th minute, Kees Eising hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Hans Fokkelman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lukas Sundén stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Hans Fokkelman's shot from short distance in the 71st minute. Maurice Wikenburg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lukas Sundén having to interfere. The supporters of New Gooxtonian Boys booed when Hogeweg FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pierre Pik didn't get a good kick on the ball. A hard and well directed shot from Gilbert de Boer led 86 minutes into the game to a goal after the ball had bounced deceptively just in front of the goal. Hogeweg FC's Lukas Sundén became a little unsure and couldn't grip the ball before it was over the goalline. Thus it was 2-0. Lukas Sundén took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hans Fokkelman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Ed Schmidt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Coenraad Wilmink showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ed Schmidt, who was totally free with the ball in the 98th minute. New Gooxtonian Boys's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
