Spectators: 6839 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1839, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Jelle Breinburg kicked off to start the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Maurice de Boer during the 8th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Hogeweg FC booed when Pesse was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Maurice de Boer didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 12th minute, Richard Anker hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Richard Anker got free with Lukas Sundén in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ed Schmidt scored 0-1 in the 19th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Iwan Lanting, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Jelle Breinburg who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 22ndth minute tested the skills of Lukas Sundén when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Richard Anker received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Lukas Sundén tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 28thth minute of the game Ed Schmidt who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Pesse's Iwan Lanting was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 28 minutes, Ed Schmidt made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. Pesse's Iwan Lanting tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Pesse's Iwan Lanting played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ed Schmidt in the 32nd minute of play. Iwan Lanting stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ed Schmidt's shot from short distance in the 32nd minute. 35 minutes into the game, Jelle Breinburg was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Pesse's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Hogeweg FC the free kick. Jelle Breinburg hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Leon Vliet in the 39th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Iwan Lanting saved Pesse from getting behind. After 40 played minutes Pesse got a freekick which was hit by Luc Theuws. Hogeweg FC were awarded a corner in the 42th minute after Pesse's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Arvid Melin took the corner. The corner ended in Arvid Melin almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Pesse's Iwan Lanting did a great save. Leon Vliet sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Leon Vliet struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Iwan Lanting didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hogeweg FC. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Marc van Zwieten hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. Ed Schmidt recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 64 minutes into the match, Hogeweg FC's goal looked a bit too open when Richard Anker came free, but Lukas Sundén reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 65th minute, Luc Theuws hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 67 minutes Pesse's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Arvid Melin who took care of the corner kick. Herman Pool tried in the 67th minute to hit away a contribution but miss-kicked the ball which ended up in his own goal and left an unhappy Iwan Lanting a with quite unnecessary self made goal. Result 0-3. Ed Schmidt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Iwan Lanting tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 75 played minutes Pesse got a freekick which was hit by Emil Derksen. Iwan Lanting showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ed Schmidt, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. In the 78th minute Ed Schmidt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Iwan Lanting saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 80th minute the ball was on its way in behind Pesse's goalkeeper Iwan Lanting, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Pesse's zone, Ed Schmidt stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Iwan Lanting came out of the goal and Ed Schmidt tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience was convinced that Ed Schmidt's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Iwan Lanting was relentless in the 84th minute of the game. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Ed Schmidt managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hogeweg FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ed Schmidt was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Iwan Lanting breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Hogeweg FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
