Ab Spiering fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Iwan Lanting having to interfere. When Weena's Ab Spiering in the 11th minute got a chance for a shot 11th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. After 20 minutes, Emil Derksen mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Pesse and the Weena players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ab Spiering succeeded in the game's 23rd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-1. In the 26th minute the ball was on its way in behind Pesse's goalkeeper Iwan Lanting, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 29 played minutes Pesse got a freekick which was hit by Emil Derksen. After 32 minutes, Bart Griemink mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Pesse and the Weena players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 45th minute, Humberto Saveneij hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Pesse's Marc van Zwieten shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 46th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Gerben Eylens but with some difficulty. After having played for 47 minutes, Luc Theuws managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pesse's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luc Theuws was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jelle Breinburg made a kick off. 54 minutes into the match, Pesse's goal looked a bit too open when Tjeerd van den Bergh came free, but Iwan Lanting reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pesse's Iwan Lanting played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gooitzen Witting in the 57th minute of play. 0-2 became the score in the 58th minute when Ab Spiering elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Iwan Lanting showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ab Spiering in the 66th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Pesse defense, Ab Spiering kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Iwan Lanting. The Pesse fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Iwan Lanting should have stopped the shot. When Weena's Ab Spiering in the 71st minute got a chance for a shot 71st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Pesse's goalie prevented a goal. Gerben Eylens showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jelle Breinburg in the 77th minute of the match. The supporters of Weena booed when Pesse was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jelle Breinburg didn't get a good kick on the ball. 80 minutes into the match, Gio Sloothaak had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Iwan Lanting. Pesse's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gio Sloothaak was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. After 92 played minutes Weena got a freekick which was hit by Herman Grommers. Jan Hilkes came free with the goalkeeper in the 95th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Iwan Lanting could save by the left post. When Weena's Ab Spiering in the 99th minute got a chance for a shot 99th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Pesse's goalie prevented a goal. The Pesse fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Weena were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
