The Soerendonk HC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ulf Uter should have stopped the shot. Ulf Uter was out of position in the 16 minute of play, and Ed Schmidt capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Ed Schmidt really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. 20 minutes into the match, Soerendonk HC's goal looked a bit too open when Ed Schmidt came free, but Ulf Uter reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The penalty shot was made by Arvid Melin, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Soerendonk HC's Ulf Uter. 7-0. Ulf Uter dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 8-0. Hogeweg FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
