Ulf Uter didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tommie Peters went, in the 15th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. In the 19th minute of the match Cadier got a corner. Soerendonk HC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Wilfred van der Laan ran over to the corner to take the kick. Ludomil Barys struck a weak shot in the 22nd minute. Laurens de Freitas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Soerendonk HC. Ulf Uter showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arnold Robbermond in the 26th minute of the match. In the 29th minute, Arnold Robbermond made a precise shot to the right of Ulf Uter. Soerendonk HC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. Ulf Uter showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Niels-Jan Reitsema, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. 35 minutes into the game, Cadier's Arnold Robbermond nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. The audience held their breath when Wilfred van der Laan in the 46th minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Ulf Uter's left hand side. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-5 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ludomil Barys to make the kick off. The supporters of Cadier booed when Soerendonk HC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ludomil Barys didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cadier were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
