An unexpectedly hard shot by Kim Bolas in the 32nd minute of play forced Attard Gunners's goalkeeper Jay Jowsey to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kim Bolas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jay Jowsey read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 34th minute of play. In the 36th minute Kim Bolas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jay Jowsey saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 38th minute, Kim Bolas ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jay Jowsey was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. Attard Gunners's Noel Buhagiar was substituted for Chris Trigona.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Kim Bolas to strike the kick off in the second half. Mike Axisa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Godwin Sapiano in the 51st minute of the match. 56 minutes into the game, Kim Bolas recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Jay Jowsey. Kim Bolas showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-4. In the 59th match minute, Sliema Dragons FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ulises Ixidor to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kim Bolas got free with Jay Jowsey in the 62nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 62 minutes into the match, Kim Bolas dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Jay Jowsey, 1-5. In the 65th minute Godwin Sapiano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mike Axisa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Sliema Dragons FC's Kim Bolas slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Jay Jowsey. That made the score 1-6 after 71 minutes of play. Sliema Dragons FC made a substitution. Dejan Cassar replaced Kim Bolas. In the 76th minute the ball was on its way in behind Attard Gunners's goalkeeper Jay Jowsey, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Jay Jowsey was a little too slow when Dejan Cassar got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 78th minute. The score was now 1-7. In the 80th minute, Leszek Cupial hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Attard Gunners's Adrian Savona was substituted for Joshua Sammut Castelletti. The supporters of Attard Gunners booed when Sliema Dragons FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leszek Cupial didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mike Axisa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alan Said, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sliema Dragons FC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
