Spectators: 10810 (Terracing: 8109, Seating: 2486, VIP seats: 215) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Song Wei Yun kicked off to start the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Song Wei Yun got free with Tommy Cauchi in the 6th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 8th minute, Song Wei Yun reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Tommy Cauchi. The goal made the score 1-0. Nigel Petroni charged in rather forcefully in the 10th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nigel Petroni the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Tommy Cauchi was a little too slow when Song Wei Yun got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 12th minute. The score was now 2-0. Through an outstanding action, after 15 minutes, Tommy Cauchi successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Tommy Cauchi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fernando Negro's shot from short distance in the 20th minute. In the 23rd minute, one of Victoria:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Victoria. Tommy Cauchi had in the 24thth minute some difficulties stopping Neil Degabriele's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his right side, but he still managed to hold the ball In the 26th match minute, Victoria was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Keith De Fremeaux to maneuver through the defense. 37 minutes had been played when some careless play by Victoria's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Neil Degabriele was slow to take the kick. During this time Seraċini Għawdxin's players had a chance to rest. Fredrik Hylander kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. Victor Schembri was shown his second yellow card after 41 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Seraċini Għawdxin made a substitution. Bjorn Cuschieri replaced Fernando Negro. Victor Schembri hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. Tommy Cauchi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adam Jansson, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Keith De Fremeaux to make the kick off. The Seraċini Għawdxin fans' excitement grew in the 51st match minute when Seraċini Għawdxin's Song Wei Yun looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. When the match clock showed 54 minutes, the score became 5-0 when Bjorn Cuschieri sped through Victoria's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Tommy Cauchi. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bjorn Cuschieri in the 58th minute of play forced Victoria's goalkeeper Tommy Cauchi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 60th minute, Bjorn Cuschieri left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Seraċini Għawdxin fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-0. Szymon Dobilas kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. Neil Degabriele recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Tommy Cauchi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Song Wei Yun, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. In the 71st minute Seraċini Għawdxin were awarded a corner. Neil Degabriele went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led to Seraċini Għawdxin's Miguel Caruana getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. The supporters of Victoria booed when Seraċini Għawdxin was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bjorn Cuschieri didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 82 played minutes Victoria got a freekick which was hit by Szymon Dobilas. When Neil Degabriele came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the Seraċini Għawdxin fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Neil Degabriele couldn't finish the play. When the match had gone on for 84 minutes, Song Wei Yun put it in 8-0 from a short distance just to the right of Tommy Cauchi. Neil Degabriele hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. 88 minutes into the match, Seraċini Għawdxin's goalkeeper Ján Oblak had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fredrik Hylander. Tommy Cauchi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bjorn Cuschieri, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Song Wei Yun in the 96th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tommy Cauchi saved Victoria from getting behind. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Seraċini Għawdxin had played much better football throughout.
