Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Amir Abou Jisser in the 3rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tommy Cauchi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Victoria's Fredrik Hylander got a free kick in the 5th minute. In the 6th minute, Amir Abou Jisser left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Meerkats FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. After a rather tough play, Victoria's Carlo Sant got a free kick in the 11th minute. When Meerkats FC's Amir Abou Jisser in the 15th minute got a chance for a shot 15th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Victoria's Tommy Cauchi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dave De Bartolo in the 16th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Amir Abou Jisser's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tommy Cauchi was relentless in the 20th minute of the game. When Meerkats FC's Amir Abou Jisser in the 25th minute got a chance for a shot 25th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Victoria's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Shaun De Battista was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. Amir Abou Jisser took the ball and in the 30 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tommy Cauchi. Tommy Cauchi dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-5. Alfred Coleiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tommy Cauchi having to interfere. Tommy Cauchi came out of the goal in the 35th minute to try and stop a shot by Meerkats FC's Alfred Coleiro. But to his dismay, Alfred Coleiro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-6. Tommy Cauchi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Amir Abou Jisser's shot from short distance in the 38th minute. In the 38thth minute of the game Amir Abou Jisser who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Victoria's Tommy Cauchi was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Dave De Bartolo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Tommy Cauchi having to make a save. After a rather tough play, Victoria's Bartolo Henrico got a free kick in the 41st minute. 42 minutes into the match, Amir Abou Jisser had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tommy Cauchi. Victoria's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Amir Abou Jisser was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-7. In the 46th minute, Ulryk Cichowski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 46 played minutes, Meerkats FC's Shaun De Battista shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Tommy Cauchi came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Meerkats FC reached it. Disappointed in the 0-7 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Szymon Dobilas made a kick off. With 50 minutes on the clock, Bartolo Henrico commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 52nd minute there was a penalty for Meerkats FC. Aleksander Zapolski stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Tommy Cauchi. 0-8. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Amir Abou Jisser in the 55th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tommy Cauchi saved Victoria from getting behind. Victoria's Tommy Cauchi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dave De Bartolo in the 58th minute of play. In the 59th minute Dave De Bartolo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tommy Cauchi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Amir Abou Jisser struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. Tommy Cauchi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Meerkats FC. Meerkats FC made a substitution. Aron Ghinescu replaced Dave De Bartolo. 63 minutes into the match, Aron Ghinescu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tommy Cauchi. Victoria's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Aron Ghinescu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-9. Amir Abou Jisser who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 73rdth minute tested the skills of Tommy Cauchi when he managed to save the team from getting behind. When the match had gone on for 78 minutes, Amir Abou Jisser put it in 0-12 from a short distance just to the right of Tommy Cauchi. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Shaun De Battista managed to get in a good position for a shot. Meerkats FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Shaun De Battista was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tommy Cauchi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 85th minute Aron Ghinescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tommy Cauchi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 86th minute Meerkats FC were awarded a corner. Shaun De Battista went to the cornerflag to take it. Tommy Cauchi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aron Ghinescu in the 88th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Victoria's Victor Schembri got a free kick in the 89th minute. After 90 played minutes, Meerkats FC's Shaun De Battista shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Tommy Cauchi came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Meerkats FC reached it. George Axiaq hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. Tommy Cauchi was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Amir Abou Jisser showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-13 in the 95 minute of play. Meerkats FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
