Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Herbert Bernaerts made the kick off which started today's match. Bob Boegaert took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marten Gyselinx, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. KV Wanzele's Herbert Bernaerts was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 17th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Paul-Louis Van Dijcke charged in rather forcefully in the 21st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Paul-Louis Van Dijcke the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Paul-Louis Van Dijcke hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in KV Wanzele's zone, Jorre Van der Perren stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bob Boegaert came out of the goal and Jorre Van der Perren tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Xavier De Vlaeminck was a little too slow when Oswald Van Caels got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 32nd minute. The score was now 2-0. Marten Gyselinx sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A hard shot by Jaspar Callens from long distance, 45 minutes into the match, got Xavier De Vlaeminck's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Les Misèrables's Xavier De Vlaeminck played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Herbert Bernaerts in the 47th minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Marten Gyselinx made a kick off. After having played for 59 minutes, Jorre Van der Perren managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Les Misèrables's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jorre Van der Perren was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Herbert Bernaerts received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Xavier De Vlaeminck tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 63rd minute, Herbert Bernaerts ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Xavier De Vlaeminck was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. Xavier De Vlaeminck made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Laurend Spoelbergh in the 68th minute of play. Les Misèrables's Xavier De Vlaeminck played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Herbert Bernaerts in the 70th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 74th minute, Herbert Bernaerts managed to get in a good position for a shot. KV Wanzele's supporters rose to their feet, but Herbert Bernaerts was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Xavier De Vlaeminck breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Xavier De Vlaeminck showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Oswald Van Caels, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. 76 minutes into the match, Oswald Van Caels notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of Les Misèrables's Xavier De Vlaeminck. Xavier De Vlaeminck was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 79 minutes of play, Les Misèrables's Jorre Van der Perren made it 4-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Bob Boegaert was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Marten Gyselinx had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 86 minutes, Marten Gyselinx managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Les Misèrables's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marten Gyselinx was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 89 minutes in the game, Marten Gyselinx fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Bob Boegaert having to interfere. 89 minutes into the match, KV Wanzele's goal looked a bit too open when Marten Gyselinx came free, but Bob Boegaert reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 90th minute, Herbert Bernaerts hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Herbert Bernaerts managed to get in a good position for a shot. KV Wanzele's supporters rose to their feet, but Herbert Bernaerts was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Xavier De Vlaeminck breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Many of Les Misèrables's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Les Misèrables may have spent more time on the ball, but KV Wanzele were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
