The supporters of FC Carlsberg booed when -BZF- Barca de Buzau was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fausto Nazzaro didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 5th minute Wieslaw Marud shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bogdan Ignătoiu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. James Novak took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Manuel Drăgănoiu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A nice corner shot did that Martin Giuverdea got away a dangerous shot. Despite this James Novak quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. James Novak made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Martin Giuverdea in the 12th minute of play. When -BZF- Barca de Buzau's Martin Giuverdea in the 12th minute got a chance for a shot 12th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye FC Carlsberg's goalie prevented a goal. After 15 played minutes FC Carlsberg got a freekick which was hit by Henrique Casado. Leonard Chiru made in the 18th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Fausto Nazzaro. In the 19th minute, Manuel Drăgănoiu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bogdan Ignătoiu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wieslaw Marud in the 20th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Wieslaw Marud in the 22nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bogdan Ignătoiu saved -BZF- Barca de Buzau from getting behind. 25 minutes into the game, FC Carlsberg's Wieslaw Marud nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Bogdan Ignătoiu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. After 29 played minutes -BZF- Barca de Buzau got a freekick which was hit by Viorel Bungescu. After 34th play minutes Wieslaw Marud shot 2-0, a short shot which went by Bogdan Ignătoiu and just under the crossbar into goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Wieslaw Marud in the 37th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bogdan Ignătoiu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 44 played minutes FC Carlsberg got a freekick which was hit by Aurelian Mirciu. Aurelian Mirciu hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Martin Giuverdea's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but James Novak was relentless in the 47th minute of the game. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Valer Andriescu was the one to do the kick off. -BZF- Barca de Buzau's Bogdan Ignătoiu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wieslaw Marud in the 56th minute of play. James Novak showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Martin Giuverdea, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. FC Carlsberg's Marius Corocăescu was substituted for Remus Costeiantu. Viorel Bungescu got a throw-in 66 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Sandu Cojocaru. In the 69th minute Martin Giuverdea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but James Novak saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Viorel Neicu in the 71st minute of play forced -BZF- Barca de Buzau's goalkeeper Bogdan Ignătoiu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 71 minutes of play, FC Carlsberg's Viorel Neicu made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Bogdan Ignătoiu was left in no man's land by his defense there! Bogdan Ignătoiu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gavril Sichitiu in the 77th minute of the match. In the 78th minute Gavril Sichitiu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bogdan Ignătoiu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 84th minute Martin Giuverdea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but James Novak saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Viorel Neicu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Martin Giuverdea got free with James Novak in the 89th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 92nd minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Carlsberg's goalkeeper James Novak, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Denis Aurelianu hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. A collision led to -BZF- Barca de Buzau getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Filip Şneapotă hit a great ball. There was no doubt that FC Carlsberg were the better team. FC Carlsberg's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
