Spectators: 6774 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1774, VIP seats: 0) Retford City's Abhyagni Siddhu started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After some fancy dribbling in the 4th minute, Adhiksita Biswas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Retford City's supporters rose to their feet, but Adhiksita Biswas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Guntas Dube breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Abhyagni Siddhu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 11 minutes into the game, Devavesman Krishnan was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Swinton's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Retford City the free kick. Guntas Dube showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adhiksita Biswas, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. When Retford City's Abhyagni Siddhu in the 19th minute got a chance for a shot 19th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The Swinton fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Guntas Dube should have stopped the shot. If Abhyagni Siddhu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Guntas Dube took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abhyagni Siddhu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 38th minute there was a penalty for Retford City. Shashi Kaal stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Guntas Dube. 0-2. Adhiksita Biswas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Guntas Dube having to interfere. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The wind increased when Devavesman Krishnan made the kick off in the second half. Retford City's Jata Gandhi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Teju Chaddha in the 58th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Teju Chaddha's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jata Gandhi was relentless in the 59th minute of the game. Guntas Dube made a fantastic save in the 62nd minute, when Adhiksita Biswas sent off a good shot on target. After some fancy dribbling in the 63rd minute, Teju Chaddha managed to get in a good position for a shot. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 86 minutes into the match, Devavesman Krishnan notched a goal, 1-4, to the right of Retford City's Jata Gandhi. Jata Gandhi was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Adhiksita Biswas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Guntas Dube having to interfere. In the 94th minute, Jayalakshm Pujari hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 94 minutes into the match, Retford City's Shashi Kaal broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Retford City's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
