Snowflakes's Pinpetch Luangekaphan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 10th minute of the match, managed to save Snowflakes from getting a goal against them. A well-hit corner resulted in Phanlop Nimnoi heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. After 23 played minutes Snowflakes got a freekick which was hit by Pong Nasawang. An unexpected shot in the 24th minute by Domenec Cediel got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. The Knattspyrnufélag Akureyri fans' excitement grew in the 31st match minute when Knattspyrnufélag Akureyri's Artemio Bernal looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Pinpetch Luangekaphan was out of position in the 33 minute of play, and Domenec Cediel capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Domenec Cediel really showed his touch with that goal: 3-0. In the 36th minute, Artemio Bernal fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Domenec Cediel could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 38th minute of the match, but Pinpetch Luangekaphan made a huge save. After 41 minutes of play, Knattspyrnufélag Akureyri's Domenec Cediel made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Pinpetch Luangekaphan was left in no man's land by his defense there! Artemio Bernal kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. Pinpetch Luangekaphan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Domenec Cediel in the 45th minute.

The wind increased when Teerapong Chollnakasom made the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute, Domenec Cediel ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Pinpetch Luangekaphan was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-0. 60 minutes into the match, Domenec Cediel notched a goal, 6-0, to the right of Snowflakes's Pinpetch Luangekaphan. Pinpetch Luangekaphan was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 64 minutes into the game, Artemio Bernal cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 7-0. Pinpetch Luangekaphan was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Artemio Bernal took the ball and in the 66 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Pinpetch Luangekaphan. Pinpetch Luangekaphan dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 8-0. Pinpetch Luangekaphan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Artemio Bernal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 74th minute, Wachirawit Kongpetch made a precise shot to the right of Pinpetch Luangekaphan. Snowflakes's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 9-0. Pinpetch Luangekaphan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Domenec Cediel in the 78th minute of play. Snowflakes's Jaroonsak Liangthanorm got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some careless play in the Snowflakes defense, Artemio Bernal kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Pinpetch Luangekaphan. The Snowflakes fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Pinpetch Luangekaphan should have stopped the shot. 90 minutes into the match, Snowflakes's goal looked a bit too open when Domenec Cediel came free, but Pinpetch Luangekaphan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Domenec Cediel's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Pinpetch Luangekaphan was relentless in the 91st minute of the game. Pinpetch Luangekaphan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Domenec Cediel in the 92nd minute of play. In the 95th minute Domenec Cediel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pinpetch Luangekaphan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. There was no doubt that Knattspyrnufélag Akureyri were the better team. Knattspyrnufélag Akureyri's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
