Seating: 2370, VIP seats: 206) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Nils Bertele made the kick off which started today's match. In the 3rd minute, Nils Bertele got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. U21 Denmark's Oswald Griese played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rüdiger Braun in the 6th minute of play. After some careless play in the U21 Denmark defense, Nils Bertele kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Oswald Griese. The U21 Denmark fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Oswald Griese should have stopped the shot. A collision led to U21 Denmark getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Volmar Hasselfelt hit a great ball. Oswald Griese showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nils Bertele in the 15th minute of the match. Oswald Griese took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nils Bertele, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With his leg Oswald Griese managed to avoid a goal in the 26thth minute, when U21 Austria's Nils Bertele fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Hannes Meinhardt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edvardt Åsleff in the 28th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rüdiger Braun in the 30th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Oswald Griese saved U21 Denmark from getting behind. After a rather tough play, U21 Austria's Mats Setzinger got a free kick in the 31st minute. Volmar Hasselfelt kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. Robin-Pascal Amerhauser received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Oswald Griese tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Robin-Pascal Amerhauser received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Oswald Griese came out and tried to block the shot, but Robin-Pascal Amerhauser slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 46th minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.
Oswald Griese stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nils Bertele's shot from short distance in the 53rd minute. When Nils Bertele came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the U21 Austria fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nils Bertele couldn't finish the play. Hannes Meinhardt made a fantastic save in the 56th minute, when Axel Heiner sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to U21 Denmark getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Max Vinkens hit a great ball. 61 minutes into the match, Robin-Pascal Amerhauser notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of U21 Denmark's Oswald Griese. Oswald Griese was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Nils Bertele fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Oswald Griese having to interfere. In the 66th minute, Robin-Pascal Amerhauser made a precise shot to the right of Oswald Griese. U21 Denmark's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. Robin-Pascal Amerhauser blasted a shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Oswald Griese having to make a save. Oswald Griese showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Robin-Pascal Amerhauser in the 74th minute of the match. In the 76th minute Robin-Pascal Amerhauser shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oswald Griese saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 76th minute, Robin-Pascal Amerhauser left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The U21 Austria fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-0. The supporters of U21 Denmark booed when U21 Austria was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mats Setzinger didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 83rd minute, Franck Bjerglund ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Hannes Meinhardt was frozen by the shot and now it was 6-1. In the 88thth minute of the game Nils Bertele who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but U21 Denmark's Oswald Griese was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Robin-Pascal Amerhauser sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hannes Meinhardt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edvardt Åsleff in the 94th minute of play. U21 Denmark's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
